Donate to the 2nd annual Rooftop Campout

Support the Spruce Grove Fire Fighters Rooftop Campout to raise funds for Muscular Dystrophy Canada!

To show their support for people with neuromuscular disorders, Spruce Grove Fire Fighters are organizing their 2nd annual Rooftop Campout to raise awareness and funds to help 'make muscles move'. A Rooftop Campout is a fundraising event where local Fire Fighters camp on the roof of a building, enduring below freezing temperatures, inclement weather, and whatever else nature throws their way, and collect donations from the public to support Muscular Dystrophy Canada. The money raised by Spruce Grove Fire Fighters will improve the quality of life of people living with neuromuscular disorders by purchasing mobility equipment, providing support services, and funding research.

Check out last years video of the guys enduring below freezing temperatures proving once again that we will do just about anything we can do to help raise money our local charites.

The Spruce Grove Firefighters Association represents all of the fulltime IAFF members of Spruce Grove Fire Service. We are proud to be a fully integrated Fire Department providing emergency response to approximately 25000 residents. The City of Spruce Grove provides two Advanced Life Support Ambulances to Alberta Health Services, along with an ALS pump response. Our fire apparatus consists of two fire/rescue pumps, one ladder truck and two wild land quick response units. As a membership we strive to achieve the NFPA standard of fire response. Over the last few years we've seen a steady increase in call volume, in the year 2011 we will respond to over 3000 emergencies in our jurisdiction.

Our first priority is the safety of our membership and the residents of Spruce Grove. We are also proud to partake and coordinate various fundraising events. Our membership is very involved in fundraising for Women's Cancer, Men's prostate cancer (Movember), burn foundation and Muscular Dystrophy. In 2010, we will have raised over $15000 for these local charities. Please stay tuned for some exciting changes with the addition of our official Spruce Grove Firefighters charity.
